The procedure includes taking out the decayed portion and filling the vacancy with the Composite resin material to protect the tooth’s structure and restore its appearance and utility. Your filling is manufactured in a dental lab according to the shape of your tooth being repaired. It would be cemented into your teeth (premolar and molar ones) in 2 positions:
- Inlays: within the cusps on the chewing surface of the tooth.
- Onlays: covering 1 or more cusps (sometimes called partial crowns)
